This for me was a very good surprise find.
The fact i love this film is no surprise to my friends as this is right down my ally.
Love the concept and story line and the dialogue and costumes suit this futuristic setting.
Loved the battles and really need to find a watch the original.
Really worth the watch.
Plot summary
Despite hanging up his boots following the events of 'The FP,' JTRO must return to the blood sport of Beat-Beat Revelation one last time. JTRO and KCDC - his mystical hype man - will quest deep into The Wastes, a land destroyed by the Beat Wars, to compete in the ancient Beat-Beat tournament, "Beats of Rage," face AK-47 - and, hopefully, save the world.

legit didnt think i would like this movie
BEAT BEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAT
It ain't often a sequel is worth a whole stack of Lincolns, and definitely not two Hamiltons.... BUT NINJ... The FP2 is LEGIT. Jtro and Co. lit this mah sucka up and there ain't no filler in this thriller.
Babyfaced Jtro - worn down from shiz bein' tough in the FP all these years ain't such a babyface no mo'. Our boy makes a str8 up heel turn on our beloved KC/DC and engages in some rage dippin' on an Australasian Sloosh called Chai Tea (one fine a$$ B if I do say so myself). I digress...
Jtro's new nemesis tryin' to squash the 248 for good is one crazy beat beater called AK-47. This cholo is hot FIRE. God DAMN what a performance! I can't say enough good shiz about everybody in this flick, bruh. They all brought the re-ninj... The dialogue was hilarious and delivered well... The set looks effin' awesome... The beat beat wardrobe was twice as spicy as the first movie.... I'll be backin' this franchise up for life. We roll together... We LIVE together!
ROUND 2
Years after the events of The FP, JTRO (Jason Trost) and KCDC (Art Hsu),former members of the 248 gang, must travel through the Wastes to save the FP all over again in a Beats of Rage tournament. This time, the enemy is AK-47, the leaders of the Wastes, and he may finally be the man who will 187 JTRO.
This is the first of many planned sequels to The FP, despite Trost and none of the film's investors making any money from that film. He said that it was a challenge "to figure out a way to get people to fund a sequel to a movie that recouped zero dollars." The inspiration for this one is Escape from L.A. while the next film will be like Rocky Balboa (which makes sense, as the line about girls taking away your legs appears here word for word from Rocky).
Much like The FP, if your early years on this Earth were spent playing side-scrolling beat 'em ups like Double Dragon and watching post-apocalyptic movies.
