So I'm flipping through the channels and I see a commercial for a Hallmark TV movie that reunites Blair and Tootie from The Facts of Life. Naturally I had to see it. The story is about a wedding planner (Lisa Whelchel) who's not happy about a divorce attorney (Antonio Cupo) setting up shop next door to her business. Things get more complicated when Lisa's son shows up with his new fiancée, who just so happens to be Antonio's daughter. Neither parent is crazy about the relationship, believing the kids are rushing into things. But gradually they learn to accept it and also start to fall for each other.
There is one spoilery thing I wanted to address. I don't think this is a huge spoiler given how these sorts of movies are but consider yourself warned anyway. At the end of the movie the son and daughter marry while the mother and father kiss, signaling the beginning of their relationship. So basically if the two parents ever marry, that would mean their kids would become siblings. But they're married too. So Lisa's son would be married to his stepsister and Antonio's daughter to her stepbrother. Seemed kind of odd they involved this incestuous element when it really wasn't necessary to the story.
It's nice to see Lisa Whelchel acting again. I liked her on Facts of Life and I liked her on the season of Survivor she did. I'm a child of the '80s, so sue me. Kim Fields plays Lisa's best friend and business partner. Her role is to basically say sassy things and encourage stuffy Lisa to' get some.' You get the picture. The rest of the cast is kind of generic but nobody was particularly bad. There's a ceiling on how good this could have been, given the fact that it's a made-for-TV movie. Honestly, it wasn't that great. If it wasn't for Blair and Tootie, I doubt I would have finished it. If you're a Facts of Life fan, by all means check it out. Everybody else, I guess it depends on if you generally like these sorts of movies. If you do, then you'll probably like it a bit more than I did.

Plot summary
Opposites attract when Wendy (Lisa Whelchel),a wedding coordinator, and Marco (Antonio Cupo),a divorce attorney, find their lives suddenly intertwined. Wendy is finally settling into the single life after struggling with the death of her husband. After a difficult season of grief, she's taken over the family business of coordinating the town's most beautiful and memorable weddings with the help of her friend and co-worker Roseanne (Kim Fields). Wendy's business and values are challenged, however, when the charming and incredibly irritating Marco opens shop as a divorce attorney right next to her wedding chapel. Although Wendy will stop at nothing to promote her marriage business over Marco's divorce business, she must form an alliance with Marco after her son Collin (Edward Ruttle) announces his unexpected engagement to Marco's daughter Sophia (Alicia Josipovic). As Wendy grows closer to Marco, she begins to realize that if she shields herself from the pain of love lost, she may prevent herself from experiencing true love in the future. Will Wendy open up to a second chance at love?

You take the good, you take the bad...
Actually funny
This movie is actually funny unlike some Hallmark movies that are barely chuckle worthy. A divorce attorney sets up his office next to a wedding planner. Their kids turn out to be in love and want to get married. The sparring is funny and the conflict provides some laughs. Some well written dialogue too.
Lisa Welchel has grown older naturally kudos to her so she is more watchable than many actresses her age who have had plastic surgery. She is noticeably older than her on screen matchup Antonio Cupo but surprisingly it's quite alright.
Worth a watch.
