It's real simple ya see.. how many of these artists are on Spotify?
Genius how Daniel Ek and Sean Parker (Spotify = Napster/uTorrent v2.0) managed to fool the masses into supporting their 'create the virus and provide the cure' scheme. Spotify literally actually suing musicians, indie record labels, rights organizations, the government itself and the almighty end all be all customers... devalue and destroy everything, swoop in, take over and take control.. global domination. Our current and future generations of quality indie professional creative arts are done and dusted.
These 2 non-creative Spotify CEO pirates alone are taking tens of billions of dollars in personal cash "royalty" payouts annually to fund their lavish lifestyles, meanwhile paying artists $0.005 (or less than $5000. per 1 million streams - from that $5k, artists must also pay -in order- between 10-50% for distribution, 50% of what is left over for record label, 15% management, studio time/engineer points, session musicians, co-writers and publishers, remixers etc., ALL get their cut BEFORE artists get paid themselves - usually it amounts to around 10-15% of the initial royalty total, so suddenly a million streams wont even pay your rent much less feed yourself a meal, pay for electricity or internet or say the time and space to oh I dunno, perhaps make your next song?!). There are on average 40,000 songs uploaded per week and of those, 30% are NEVER even listened to one single time!! Not even one stream!!! And yet, this new world of hobbyists continue to upload content, click ads, praise and support this criminal organization.. all along, content quality drops, while CEO cash profits skyrocket. It is utterly unsustainable. Daniel Ek and Sean Parker pirates destroyed the industry in favor of personal wealth. In 2009 Obama not only allowed these crooks to open up shop in America, but endorsed these clowns ON THE WHITE HOUSE WEBSITE NO LESS!! Can you say kick back $$$? Pathetic. All of the above belong in prison for crimes against humanity.
So you see, Spotify is killing the independent creative professionals of the world and cementing the 1% uber rich fabricated "star" and 99% part time burger flippin hobbyist wannabe artist (the bread and butter of the industry that keep the wheels turning) tech CEO cash crop. You see, it is NOT about music or art anymore, thanks to Spotify it is ONLY about ads, clicks and user data now.
Our current and future generations of quality indie professional creative arts are done and dusted. Its all about ads, clicks and data now. Thanks Silicon Valley! So to all you supporters, I say, enjoy your all-you-can-eat garbage paint-by-numbers buffet style mobile phone "free" content subscription packages. You deserve this level of crap entertainment, now and forever.
