A lil bit of Unlawful Entry, a lil bit of Strangers on a Train n more from the 80s n 90s erotic thrillers.

I got tricked into believing the fake reviews which were posted the earliest. A fake reviewer described it as a taut thriller. It is boring n very predictable. Damaris Lewis is one helluva hot babe but she doesnt get that much footage.

In fact, the 80s n 90s thrillers at least have some erotic stuff.

Ther is a scene wher a guy observes someone planning to get intimate in a beach house, later he goes to another person's home, have sex ther n later goes to the beach house n a female is still in her dress inspite of the intimacy.

"What you see in the night isn't always what you see in the day."

If you're a perceptive viewer and have seen enough of these types of films, you'll know at the 1:08:40 mark that Val (Hilary Swank) did it, just about a second before Derrick Tyler (Michael Ealy) confirms it with his own suspicion. What Val did you'll have to watch the picture to find out, but know that from there on, the story line careens to an explosive ending with yet another twist that you'll probably see coming, as the gimmick has been used in countless movies. But while all this is going on, it does turn out to be a pretty good thriller that keeps you guessing until you don't have to. The picture does have it's share of clichéd dialog loaded with double entendre, as in my summary line, or when Val suggests to Derrick after a one night stand - "I don't go after something unless I know I can get it". Detective Val Quinlan is one determined police investigator with a personal goal who ensnares Derrick Tyler in a web of deceit of his own making, and you have to wonder just how bad one guy's luck could possibly get.

Fatal Attraction meets Unlawly Entry.

Or PLAY MITSY FOR ME meets LAKEVIEW TERRACE, with also a bit of STRANGERS ON A TRAIN schemes, see what I mean? Replace this scheme in the nineties or two thousands and you'll have a male cop - for instance Ray Liotta - in the role of Hillary Swank. The latest performance is the only interesting thing here, enhanced by the fact that we can discover her personal problems, and feel some empathy for her, for her actions. Not a bad film, because it is well filmed and acted and as I already said concerning THE POWER series, also involving Black characters who succeeded in life, there a a few scenes a bit too Givenchy or Prada for me - the trademark of a movie made by a Black director, showing openly some brothers achieving their goals. That's my own opinion and that's not a critic at all, only a factual analysis. If, like me, you know the movie history since so many years and decades, this feature brings no many new elements, but that remains a very good time waster.
