I applaud McAulay's efforts, but Don't Tell a Soul is at its best when it's simply having fun as a silly B-flick. Shut your brain off, enjoy - and, like with any guilty pleasure, don't tell a soul you liked it. Heck I really liked it. James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 4/18/2021.

One of those cheap and dark dramas made on an obvious low budget and shot out in the woods somewhere. Rainn Wilson is surprisingly good in a serious role for once but that's where the interesting stuff ends here. You get the bickering brothers and the power play between them which is interesting to a degree, plus their ailing mother played by Mena Suvari. But the material is stretched to breaking point by the lack of plot development, and in the end I was restless.

Matt (Fionn Whitehead ) convinces his kid brother Joey (Jack Dylan Grazer ) to rob a home to obtain money for their mother who has lung cancer. They are seen by security guard Hamby (Rainn Wilson) who chases them and falls down a well in the forest. Matt wants to leave him for dead while Joey is more compassionate. The film twists as Matt abuses Joey and Hamby is not who he claims.

The picture was a drama-thriller as we examine the differences in brothers. Interesting at times with a few scenes not so well done.
