Lilly (Stefanie von Pfetten) and Constance (Kim Poirier) are sexy cousins that are more than a couple of hot college girls. Luke (Corey Sevier) snuck into their room and sees something alien. Alex (Meghan Ory) is his best friend who just doesn't believe him.
The girls are aliens. It's not a spoiler because they show it in the first 10 minutes. There is absolutely no horror in this horror movie. The writing is all camp. Some intentional like punching a girl. But there is a lot of unintentional camp.
The odd thing is that Stefanie von Pfetten and Kim Poirier are probably the best actors in this movie. They have this frienermy competitiveness going on. All the guys are useless, both as characters and as actors. Meghan Ory is too distant.
This is a super cheesy TV movie. There is sometimes good fun to watch a little bit of camp. But the guys aren't good enough or funny enough or compelling enough. It's almost a funny watch, but it tries to be a serious horror.

Not that bad
I wasn't sure how Decoys would turn out. It seemed interesting, but a lot of people seemed to be indifferent to or really hated it, so I was apprehensive as well. I was surprised. Decoys is less than perfect, but compared to other rubbish I've seen over a certain amount of time it is watchable. True, the visual effects could have done with more work with more finesse and clarity, the characters are stereotypical and not all of them are easy to care for and Richard Burgi is in a gruff sort of role but underplays it so much that he comes across as really bland. Plus the story, while starting off great and with a promising idea and a decent surprise ending, is let down by a second half that is clunkily written, dully paced and with more of a romantic comedy emphasis feels like a completely different movie. However, the scenery and editing are quite good, the scenery is atmospheric and the editing is not as choppy as I feared it would be. The score is occasionally over-bearing but also intense and haunting. The script while clunky and on the cheesy side in the second half still has moments of fun one-liners and a sprinkle of suspense. Burgi aside the acting is better than average. Meghan Ory is especially intoxicating, while Kim Poirier is very touching and Elias Toufexis is a hoot. Corey Sevier is likable though there is more potential to see him grow, and Nicole Eggbert is nice to see. In conclusion, has its problems but I didn't think it was a bad movie. 6/10 Bethany Cox

"Decoys" was a great surprise for me. I bought this DVD because of its low price and the beautiful cover, but without any reference. When I saw IMDb Rating, I thought that I might have lost my money. However, although having some flaws in the story, the movie is very funny and attractive. In the end, I found IMDb User Rating very unfair and "Decoys" very underrated. The surprise in the last scene was excellent. My vote is seven.
