This is barely even a movie .. there is no narrative as such ... it's sort of one of those videos that's played in hideous museums of modern 'art'. Like many such installations it is vapid, inert and entirely expendable. It's just a cluster of images overlayed with music and whispered 'dialogue'.
Plot summary
In Northern Yucatán, sinkholes constituted the sole water source for some Mayans. Cenotes were used for ritual sacrifices, and the Mayans believed that these holy springs connected this world to the afterlife. The past and present of those living around the cenotes coalesce in this mysterious place.

Abstract exploration into Mayan (and our own) subconsciousness
Exploration of cenote is gorgeous yet frightening cinematic experience. Intense rays of sunlight and star-like particles drifting in the water creates continuously changing geometric abstraction on the screen that put me in hypnosis. The only moments that woke me up from this dimension between our and the other world are when a familiar fish occasionally drift across haunting sub-aquatic terrain.
