Abhishek and Rani team up as partners in crime as they try to steal all of India's money in this hilarious movie! Starting out as two innocent souls fed up of the small-town life, the two run away in hopes of fulfilling their big dreams of fame and fortune. After running into too many road blocks, they try to go the easy way out by, well, stealing. They never run out of ideas to fool people. The best and most creative scene is the one with the Taj Mahal! Both Abhishek and Rani give a great performance. All the songs are great be it Chupke Se or Dhadak Dhadak. This movie features the king of item numbers with the Bachchans and the mesmerizing Aishwarya in Kajra Re. She finally does an entertaining role, be it just a song, after all her serious films like Raincoat and Chokher Bali. Coming from U.P. and being intimately familiar with some of the filming locations, I took full delight in watching this movie! Amitabh, of course, is excellent. His music video is fantastic. Just when you think you've laughed all you could, Amitabh makes sure his rapping skills leave your eyes watering!

Bunty Aur Babli (2005) : Brief Review -

When Hollywood was making a Classic con-drama like 'Catch Me If You Can', Bollywood made this cheesy corn! Spielberg's classic con-thriller with Leonardo DiCaprio came just 3 years before YRF made Bunty Aur Babli, but does that really matter? On bollywood level, No. But the audience who watch global cinema must feel underwhelmed. I belong to the latter category. I can't say Bunty Aur Babli was inspired from Hollywood's popular biographical drama 'Bonnie And Clyde" (1967) but yes it had similarities. So what? Even Bonnie And Clyde was similar to many Hollywood crime dramas from 40s and 50s, so let's just skip this point. But a film like Catch Me If You Can coming just before Bunty Aur Babli definitely hurts. Anyways, Bollywood may be able to make something like that in 2040. So, BAB is quite similar to Bonnie And Clyde's story but it's very filmy. Rakesh and Vimmi, with big ambitions, fail to achieve something in life by using honest way so they take U turn and start conning people. After sometime, they start enjoying it and expectedly fall in love with each other. There we have the opposite side, Amitabh Bachchan, appearing as a cop almost when half the story is over. It's a predictable film yet enjoyable. But it's terribly slow, especially in the first half. Thanks to the hit songs, and Amitabh's swag in the second half which makes it one time watchable flick. The problem is, all the techniques used by Shaad Ali are outdated but just because Bollywood hadn't made many con-dramas, it fares decently. But the conflicts are soulless, if i can say then, even 50s Bollywood movies had more thrilling robberies and con tricks than this. In short, BAB somehow stands because of contemporary effects, rest it has nothing to offer. It's hardly watchable man, i mean with such a long runtime.

Oh my God does Yashraj films think like how normal people do? Okay the plot is okay 2 people want to make it big but can't because they have no money and their scenes at the start are nice but the robbery part is so stupid

How does Rani, Abhishek get the expensive clothes for the first crime? Then every robbery so fast is too much to believe Even Dhoom 2 Mr. A looks more believable

The entire love angle, marriage front of Taj MBhal is even weirder Amitabh's characterization too fails to leave a mark The entire climax is even worst The scene together between Amitabh and Abhishek before Kajra Re is the worst scene ever featuring them

Shaad ALi goes 100 steps backward from SAATHIYA Music is saving grace but too many songs

Abhishek acts well, overdoes at places but is good Rani irritates with her voice but does some scenes well, her performance is over-hyped Amitabh bachchan is alright
