Okay, I want to start off by saying that I'm a person who usually enjoy Barbie movies, but this one, OH THIS ONE. I almost can't even begin by saying how bad this movie is; First of all, WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU LET YOUR PUPPIES JUST PLAY BY THEMSELVES WITHOUT ANY CLOSE GUIDANCE!? They are puppies, puppies don't just stay in the same spot. If they're in new surroundings they will explore, and claim territories. Second of all: Barbie. Just Barbie. I have never hated Barbie so much before, but Barbie is SO irresponsible, they travel to an island because Chelsea has a dance competition. But she doesn't let Chelsea practice at all! And she just tells everyone to be optimistic when they lose their puppies, and then living off of energy bars for a few days (Because she just chooses to be at a beach instead of going back into their apartment),you can't just be optimistic at a time like that! The what-if game is stupid, Barbie is just so stupid. Also, the ending of the movie is horrendous. The plot is terrible, I think I have made my point. Written by: Hannah, 11 years old.

THIS MOVIE SUCKS!
Cute!
I wasn't that excited with this film, I mean, it was a cute one, but not anything crazy. 8/10!
Falls below the bar.
I'm definitely not the target audience for a Barbie movie, but I can enjoy them. And I am aware that these movies usually aren't made with a big budget, and they're usually just made to sell toys. What I'm trying to say is that for these movies, the bar is pretty low.
The plot of this is frustrating. I found myself wondering "how much longer is this movie?" more than once. The puppy subplot is boring. For a movie about chasing after puppies, the pups don't move around very much. It's mostly just Barbie failing to go where she needs to. Barbie would've been fine had she made better decisions. The stakes are really low- everyone hardly faces consequences.
The characters are boring. Even Barbie and her sisters are bland. Two of the Barbie sisters had so little impact on the plot that they could've been removed without any consequences. The puppies are badly voice-acted. They sound robotic.
Ultimately, this is not a great movie. Probably fine for the kids.
