Oh boy, American Indians take over cartoon. Stop.

This is a sequel to an already low budget cartoon movie. Going direct to video the cost of this must have been similar to the production cost of a cartoon series episode. The plot was really bad written, with a lot of inconsistencies and with too much "ancient fathers" mystique.

The animation was more CGI than ever, meaning that it sucked, not that it had cool special effects. So when there are no graphics and no story what is there to see? Of course, Disney like songs, with an Aztec twists. The major quality of the original Balto was that it was pure story and no darn singing in it. They completely destroyed this in Balto II. They are singing and singing and my fast forward isn't fast enough.

The ending is like the end of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Everybody's happy, but you have absolutely no clue why. Horrible sequel.

Has its flaws, but overall is a heart-warming continuation of the first film!

The adventure of Balto continues with a charming, heart-warming continuation of where the first film left off. I don't think it is as good as the first film, but it is certainly an improvement on previous sequel efforts, is there anyone here who didn't like Cinderella 2 or Secret of NIMH 2? If anything I wish the film was five minutes longer, to me the ending seemed rather abrupt. Balto: Wolf Quest also doesn't have the best story in the world, but the story still is well-paced, and in general well-written, despite some uneven attempts at humour.(Muk and Luk) The script is on the most part touching, and I thought the animation, while not as good as the animation in the first film, was very good, with a lot of symbolism that I thought was most effective on screen. I liked the songs, beautiful melodies, but sometimes overshadowed the story. The film is brought to life by a terrific voice cast, including Little Mermaid's Jodi Benson as Jenna. Boris wasn't as funny here, but Charles Fleischer does a commendable job, he reminded me a bit of John Cleese's Jean Bob in Swan Princess. Lacey Chabert is very spirited as Aleu, a young wolf who yearns to find the truth about herself, and Mark Hamill is suitably nasty as Niju. I thought the actor with the best vocal talents in the movie, was the late David Carradine as Nava, a performance of subtlety and restraint that was admirable. I will confess I was very scared by the three wolverines, with their burning red eyes, their appearance is enough to frighten a very young child. All in all, a charming sequel, not as good as the first film, but I wasn't expecting it to be. I've learnt now that save a couple of exceptions,(Toy Story 2, Home Alone 2 and Garfield 2) none of the sequels I have seen to anything, surpasses the original. 7/10 Bethany Cox.

It is horrible. Trust me

Alright listen. I will tell you every little error with this movie. First off, this movie was just straight up weird. It was nowhere close to being relevant to the first movie. It starts off w Balto having trippy dreams about being chased by a raven that's constantly making obnoxious noises. He then gets woken up by Boris. And now let me tell you about him for a minute. Boris looks NOTHING like himself in the first movie. In the first movie, he looked really good. But in the second one, he looked nothing like it. His voice actor was not horrible, but you can instantly tell it's another actor. Now Balto's actor had only just a couple parts of the movie that he sounded decent. Besides those parts, his new voice was garbage. His animation was also really bad and looked nothing like the first movie. Jenna's voice actor was the worst. She was a huge part of the first movie but was hardly seen at all in the sequel AND she had a really bad voice actor .Then Balto and Boris go to this random totem pole that was never there in the first movie, but magically appeared in the sequel. Then Balto and Boris enter the town. Now the town looked NOTHING like the town in the first movie. It looked like a completely different place. Then after that, this annoying dog barks constantly in a Scottish accent telling Balto That Jenna is having the pups. When he gets to the shed, Jenna looks horrible. Her animation was very sloppy and looked like they drew her lousy. It was really bad. Then every pup gets adopted except Aleu cause she looked like a wolf. (I'd adopt a half wolf, half dog any day.) then she gets mad when Balto finally tells her she looks like a wolf after almost being shot by a hunter. She then runs away for like 4 days and gets Balto to chase after her. The mouse was annoying, the wolves Niju, and those 3 other guys look wack. They don't even look like wolves. Then they meet some psychic wolf that can become "one with the tree" and fly out of it like Casper. Then they have to jump a huge ice bridge to survive. Then Aleu feels it's her destiny to lead the pack cause she feels out of place back at home. (I understand that, but it's a little unnecessary to do that if it meant leaving everyone she loved) that's one thing that bothered me. The last time she even saw Jenna was when she was mad. Then she just tells Balto "tell her I found my home" and leaves without seeing her own mom. Jenna was probably upset about that. The spirit type story really threw me off. It didn't tie in with the first movie and the spirit story just doesn't belong in Balto. It really doesn't. Then I noticed parts when Aleu and Balto would say a whole sentence, but their mouths wouldn't coordinate with the voices. It was really bad animation. NOTHING like the original. (The first Balto was amazing 10/10) the songs were also really bad and made no sense. So in total, the animation was bad, the voices were completely different and sounded nothing like the first movie, the story was horrible, and voice coordination was off. It was just a bad movie. I give respect for the team trying to make a sequel to the amazing first Balto, but it failed miserably
