I saw there were a lot of ten star reviews for this one. That's what made me watch it. I should have known better. It's not a hidden gem, it's not a movie that I will remember. The overall idea was good though, there's clearly a good movie to be made with that story, but here I thought it missed that opportunity by being much too slow. A faster pace with a tiny bit of action could have been a better choice for Advantageous. At this pace I'm sure there will be fighting against sleep. The acting wasn't bad, the story wasn't bad, but the execution wasn't great, but that's only my opinion.

What a pleasant surprise this film was. While trying not to get too much into detail, as not to spoil any of the intricacies of the movie, I'll say that while this is in the realm of sci-fi, the movie has much more on it's mind than merely that. It conveys as much in it's beautiful nuances and a refreshing subtlety that is sadly missing from many newer films of it's ilk. The film is also wonderfully acted across the board. So that doesn't hurt.

Well crafted slice of sci-fi

Deliberate pace

For years I had this flick in My List on Netflix and today was the time to watch this sci-fi flick. It's not your usual sci-fi flick, it's not with monsters and aliens or enemies. This is about choices you make in life with high tech.

Completely not my thing. I don't have problems with blah blah flicks but this one is slow and in fact not that much happens.

The effects were wisely done, but for me it didn't save this flick. To be honest, after one hour I wanted to stop it but i went further but at 77 minutes the stop button was pressed.
