This movie is 102 mins tonic for them who are feeling bore or frustrated with their life

Direction:

Umesh Shukla got fame with the success of Oh My God but he failed to carry the momentum in his next outing All is well. This time, he back with another comedy drama based on Gujarati play. If you have two legends and great script , you have to just go with the flow as a director. Great inclusion of Comedy and serious moments with wonderful message about life.

Script:

Saumya Joshi's witty writing add more fun and entertainment in fathers-son story without any female character. Dialogue was so funny and witty that you will laugh through out the movie. One dialogue between legends e.g. "Bachche jab kharab nikal jaye to uska keval bachpan hi yaad rakhna chahiye".

Performance:

Rishi Kapoor has done brilliant job in the role of Babu however Big B has proved again why he called as Godfather of Bollywood. Jimit Trivedi was also good in supporting role of Dhiru. There was no female character however you will never realize this through out the movie.

Music:

Salim-Sulaiman's music was good as it has some good songs. Arijit Singh sing "Bachche ki jaan" and Sonu Nigam sing "Kulfi" perfectly. Amitabh Bachchan has compose Badumbaaa song which sing by Bachchan sahab and Rishi Kapoor.

Box-office:

This movie is made of moderate budget of 6.5 crores and Opening day collection is around 3.5 crores. It means it will be profitable affair after weekend itself. Life time collection will be around 30 crores.

Last Word:

Some movie stay with the audience after the long time.Surely this movie is one of them.

A LIFE LESSON TO ALL GENERATIONS

102 NOT OUT REVIEW :

I had seen the original drama on which this film is based so obviously i knew everything about script and i didn't need to watch the film but as a movie buff i prepared myself to see how cinematic version turns out. Despite being predictable/seen story to me, this film ended up as a 'Classic' for me then just imagine how much someone will like it who hasn't seen the drama. 102 Not Out is not only a Brilliant Film but also a Life Lesson to everyone.

Story is very interesting and unique, every cinema lover is always ready to see something new and this film is gives you that something new and very interesting theme. Amitabh Bachchan has nailed his role and i believe he deserves some respectable awards for this mind-blowing performance. Rishi Kapoor has done excellent job, he completely suits for that 75 years old guy's role. His voice, expression, body language is just wow. Other cast is okay. Screenplay is tight and engaged, throughout. Runtime of 107 minutes is so perfect and may be that's why film doesn't look boring for a single moment. Cinematography is Average, as i feel scenes in the house, mumbai roaming scenes, nature could have been captured in better way. Music is Decent, this script does not have a place for songs but come on it's a Film, not a drama so anyhow director gonna put some songs for sure, and it was unnecessary. Dialogues are Good, few are so meaningful so does memorable. Direction is Very Good, film has some lose scenes in the first half but thank god Umesh Shukla has covered the loss in second half and especially in the climax otherwise a Classic script would have gone in vain.

Overall, 102 Not Out is Close to Classic Tag, i'm 90% calling it a Classic but 10% unsure because of some mistakes in the first half. Still, somewhere climax has hit the right chords so yes This One is A Classic. A Must Watch for all generation audience. I would have loved to go with 7.5/10* but it's not available on IMDb so yes 8/10* for this one and thumbs up for the team.

When It Comes to Raising Children, Everything is Cricket

Amitabh Bachchan comes home one day with a resolution to be the oldest man in the history of the world: Since he is 102, he has sixteen years to go. However, he sees no chance of accomplishing this with his glum, cautious 75-year-old son, played by Rishi Kapoor bringing him down, so he's going to put him in an old age home.... unless the son agrees to a series of challenges. What starts out as a silly farce gradually ripens into a wider discourse on relationships.

It's based on a play and ultimately is about how good parents never stop raising their children. I found the acting a bit too broad by Mr. Bachchan, but that was a natural choice to offset the low-affect depression of Mr. Kapoor. In the end it was a charming movie and well worth my time.
